- 700 g apricots
- 400 g sugar
- 500 g water
Instructions
- Prepare the Apricots
Select apricots that are firm and not overripe. Wash them well, cut them in half, and remove the pits. - Make the Syrup
In a pot, combine the water and sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. - Cook the Apricots
Add the apricots to the syrup and simmer for 5-6 minutes. Check with a fork to ensure they don’t become too soft. - Cool and Store
Transfer the apricots and syrup to a bowl and refrigerate to enjoy chilled. - For Long-Term Storage
- Transfer the apricots and syrup to sterilized jars and seal tightly.
- Place a clean cloth in the bottom of a large pot, arrange the jars upside down, and cover with water. Boil for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove the jars, allow them to cool slightly, tighten the lids, and let them cool completely. Store in a cool place or the refrigerator.
