Ingredients

  • 500 g flour
  • 150 g feta cheese or any cheese of your choice
  • Salt
  • Pepper (optional)
  • 1 egg
  • Water (as needed to make a batter)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, pepper, and a lightly beaten egg. Gradually add water, mixing continuously, until you achieve a smooth batter that is neither too thick nor too runny.

Add the crumbled feta cheese to the batter and mix well.

Heat oil in a frying pan until hot. Using a tablespoon, drop portions of the batter into the hot oil. Make sure the pancakes don’t touch each other, leaving some space between them to cook evenly.

Fry until both sides are golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

Serve hot and enjoy!
