- 100 g sugar
- 500 g water
Instructions
- Prepare the Pineapple
Use a sharp knife to remove the pineapple’s skin and clean off any black spots.
Slice the pineapple into medium-thick rounds and remove the tough core from the center. - Make the Syrup
In a pot, combine the water and sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. - Cook the Pineapple
Add the pineapple slices to the syrup and simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Turn off the heat. - Cool and Store
Transfer the pineapple and syrup to a bowl and allow it to cool completely. Store in the refrigerator. - Long-Term Storage
For longer preservation, place the pineapple slices and syrup into sterilized jars and seal tightly.
In a large pot, lay a clean cloth at the bottom and place the jars upside down. Cover them with water and boil for 15-20 minutes.
Remove the jars, allow them to cool slightly, and tighten the lids securely. Store in a cool place or in the refrigerator.
