Ingredients
- 500 g cold heavy cream (35% fat)
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk, chilled
- 1 packet chocolate chips (couverture drops)
- 250 g couverture chocolate, melted
- 2 vanilla pods or 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 chocolate wafer bars (e.g. Serenata), chopped into cubes
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whip the cold heavy cream with a hand mixer until it forms a light whipped cream.
- Add the vanilla, chopped chocolate wafer bars, chocolate chips, and chilled condensed milk. Mix for another minute until fully combined.
- Using a tablespoon, fill your cones with the ice cream mixture. Stand the filled cones upright in a bowl or container and freeze for 4–5 hours until set.
- Melt the couverture chocolate in a bain-marie. Once the ice cream has frozen, dip the tops of the cones into the melted chocolate up to where the cone begins.
- Place the cones upright again and let the chocolate set.
- Once the chocolate has hardened, transfer the cones into a bowl, cover, and store them in the freezer until you’re ready to enjoy.
