Ingredients
- 600 g heavy cream (35% fat)
- 1 vanilla pod or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 packet chocolate sprinkles
- 1 packet chocolate chips
- 300–320 g ladyfinger biscuits (savoiardi)
- 400 g fresh milk
- 1 tablespoon instant coffee
Instructions
- Whip the heavy cream with the sugar and vanilla until it forms whipped cream. Set aside.
- In a small saucepan, warm the milk over low heat. Remove from heat and add the instant coffee, stirring until fully dissolved.
- Dip half of the ladyfingers into the coffee-milk mixture for 1–2 seconds, then arrange them in a 32×24 cm baking dish to cover the entire bottom. Break a biscuit into smaller pieces if necessary to fill any gaps.
- Spread half of the whipped cream over the layer of ladyfingers and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
- Dip the remaining ladyfingers into the coffee-milk mixture and place them on top of the whipped cream layer.
- Spread the remaining whipped cream over the second layer of ladyfingers and finish by sprinkling generously with chocolate sprinkles.
- Refrigerate for at least a few hours or overnight until set. Slice and serve chilled.
