Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 2 large apples
- 100 g sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Juice of half a lemon
- 1 tablespoon milk (for brushing)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together and set aside.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set it aside.
- Peel the apples and slice them into rounds. Use a small cookie cutter to remove the core from each apple slice. Brush each apple slice with lemon juice to prevent browning.
- Dip both sides of each apple slice into the cinnamon-sugar mixture and place them on a plate.
- Unroll the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 1 cm strips along its shorter side, then cut those strips in half.
- Wrap each apple slice with a strip of puff pastry, making sure the entire slice is covered. Place each wrapped apple slice onto the prepared baking tray.
- Brush the tops with milk and sprinkle with a little sugar.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 190–200°C (375–390°F) for about 25–30 minutes, or until golden.
