Ingredients

  • 300 g fresh coconut flesh
  • 250 g sugar
  • 400 g vodka

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Coconut:
Crack open the coconut, discard the hard outer shell, and keep only the white flesh inside. Cut it into small pieces and place them in a large glass jar.
  2. Add Sugar and Vodka:
Pour in the sugar and then the vodka. Seal the jar tightly and give it a good shake to start dissolving the sugar.
  3. Infuse and Shake:
Store the jar in a cool, shaded place for 4 weeks. Shake it occasionally to help the sugar fully dissolve and the flavors meld.
  4. Strain and Adjust:
After 4 weeks, strain the mixture through a fine sieve into a bowl. Taste and adjust with a bit more sugar or vodka if desired—this is your chance to create the perfect balance.
  5. Bottle It Up:
Pour your coconut liqueur into sterilized glass bottles. Keep it chilled and enjoy it in small glasses as a sweet and tropical aperitif.
