- 1 kg ripe vanilla plums (not overripe)
- 100 g sugar
- 200 g water
- 1 cinnamon stick

- Prepare the Plums
Wash the plums thoroughly, cut them in half, and remove the pits. - Make the Syrup
In a wide, shallow pot, combine the water and sugar. Bring to a boil and let it simmer for 10 minutes. - Cook the Plums
Add the cinnamon stick and the halved plums to the pot. Cover the plums with a plate to ensure they remain submerged in the syrup. Simmer gently until the plums are slightly softened but still firm to the bite. - Cool and Store
Transfer the cooked plums and syrup to a bowl. Allow them to cool completely and store in the refrigerator. - For Long-Term Storage
Pack the plums and syrup into sterilized glass jars while still hot, sealing them tightly.
Place a clean cloth at the bottom of a deep pot, arrange the jars upside down, and cover them with water. Boil for 15-20 minutes.
Remove the jars, let them cool slightly, then tighten the lids. Store in a cool, dry place or the refrigerator.
