- 200 g granulated sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons honey
- 80 g water
- 1 vanilla pod or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Place the tahini in a large mixing bowl and set it aside.
In a pan over medium heat, combine the sugar, honey, and water. Stir continuously for about 5–6 minutes until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to caramelize.
Remove the caramel from the heat and gradually add it to the tahini in three batches, stirring well after each addition until fully incorporated. Finally, add the vanilla and stir vigorously until the mixture thickens.
Transfer the halva mixture into a mold and allow it to cool at room temperature or in the refrigerator before serving.
