Ingredients
- 1 large Abate Fetel pear
- 1 liter tsipouro or vodka
- 300 g sugar
Instructions
- Prep the Pear:
Wash the pear thoroughly. Cut it in half and place it in a large glass jar. - First Infusion:
Pour the tsipouro or vodka over the pear halves, seal the jar tightly, and place it in a sunny spot for one month. This allows the fruit’s delicate aroma and subtle flavor to infuse into the spirit. - Sweetening:
After one month, add the sugar to the jar. Seal it again and return it to the sun for another month. Shake it gently and frequently to help the sugar dissolve completely and the flavors to develop fully. - Straining & Bottling:
After the second month, strain the mixture through a fine muslin cloth to achieve a crystal-clear liqueur. Transfer it into sterilized glass bottles and it’s ready to savor.
