A kiss, love’s most timeless ritual

Homemade Mille-Feuille Dessert

Homemade Mille-Feuille dessert is a poetic layering of crisp golden pastry and creamy custard, crowned with a marbled glaze that whispers elegance. Each delicate bite is a dance between airy crunch and silken sweetness, elevating the familiar into something nostalgically luxurious.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 packet of mille-feuille pastry cream mix
  • 600 g milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Puff Pastry:
    • Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a cutting board and cut it into small pieces, depending on your preferred size.
    • Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place the pastry pieces on it.
    • Bake at 170-180°C (340-350°F) until they turn golden and crispy.
  2. Make the Cream:
    • In a mixing bowl, pour the milk and add the mille-feuille pastry cream mix. Beat well for about 10 minutes until the cream thickens.
  3. Assemble the Mille-Feuille:
    • Once the pastry pieces are baked and cooled, use a piping bag to cover half of the pastry pieces with cream.
    • Place another pastry piece on top of the cream layer and cover this top layer with more cream.
  4. Garnish and Chill:
    • Garnish with roasted and chopped almonds, or use leftover pastry crumbs from the baking tray, as I did.
    • Place the assembled mille-feuille in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours to set.
