Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1 packet of mille-feuille pastry cream mix
- 600 g milk
Instructions
- Prepare the Puff Pastry:
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a cutting board and cut it into small pieces, depending on your preferred size.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place the pastry pieces on it.
- Bake at 170-180°C (340-350°F) until they turn golden and crispy.
- Make the Cream:
- In a mixing bowl, pour the milk and add the mille-feuille pastry cream mix. Beat well for about 10 minutes until the cream thickens.
- Assemble the Mille-Feuille:
- Once the pastry pieces are baked and cooled, use a piping bag to cover half of the pastry pieces with cream.
- Place another pastry piece on top of the cream layer and cover this top layer with more cream.
- Garnish and Chill:
- Garnish with roasted and chopped almonds, or use leftover pastry crumbs from the baking tray, as I did.
- Place the assembled mille-feuille in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours to set.
