Ingredients

  • 2 sea breams
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oregano or dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Rice

  • 2 small coffee cups of brown rice
  • 6 small coffee cups of water
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • Salt

Instructions for the Sea Bream

  1. Clean the sea bream by removing scales and gutting, then place in a colander to drain.
  2. Rub the outside of each fish with olive oil, salt, pepper, and oregano or rosemary, ensuring a bit is also added to the inside for extra flavor.
  3. Place the fish in a preheated oven at 180-190°C (350-375°F) and bake for 30-35 minutes until the fish takes on a golden color.

Instructions for the Rice

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil (or butter) and sauté the onion and rice for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add the water and salt, then stir. Let it cook for about 20 minutes, adding a bit more water if needed.

Serve the tender baked sea bream with fragrant brown rice on the side—a simple, nutritious, and flavorful meal to enjoy!
