Ingredients

  • 500 g pasta
  • 2 ripe tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 3–4 sprigs of basil
  • 50 g water
  • Sweet paprika
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    Boil the pasta in salted water until cooked to your preference. Drain it, return it to the pot, and set aside.
    Heat some olive oil in a pan until hot and pour it over the pasta. Stir well to coat.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:
    In a small saucepan, heat a little olive oil. Add the onion, garlic, tomatoes, and bell peppers. Sauté everything together until softened.
    Add the water, salt, pepper, and paprika. Let the sauce simmer over low heat until it thickens.
  3. Add Basil and Finish:
    Just before turning off the heat, add the basil to retain its aroma.
  4. Combine:
    Pour the sauce over the pasta in the pot and mix well to combine all the flavors.
  5. Serve:
