Ingredients for the Pasta:

  • 500g whole wheat pasta
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt
  • Grated cheese for topping

For the Pasta:

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add salt.
  2. Once the water is boiling, add the pasta and cook for 20 minutes, or to your preferred level of doneness.
  3. Drain the pasta in a colander and return it to the pot.
  4. In a frying pan, heat 4 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat, then pour it over the pasta and toss to coat evenly.

For the Sauce:

  • 4 ripe tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oregano
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions for the Sauce:

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until soft and fragrant.
  2. Add the chopped tomatoes and sauté for 2 more minutes.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, and oregano, then add 50g of water.
  4. Let the sauce simmer until it thickens to your desired consistency.

To Serve:

Top the pasta with the tomato sauce, sprinkle generously with grated cheese, and serve warm.
