Ingredients

  • 1 kg strawberries
  • 200 g water
  • 100 g sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberries
    Wash the strawberries thoroughly and remove their stems.
  2. Make the Syrup
    In a saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Cook the Strawberries
    Add the strawberries to the syrup and simmer for 4-5 minutes. Be careful not to overcook them to maintain their shape. Turn off the heat.
  4. Cool and Store
    Using a slotted spoon, transfer the strawberries to a bowl. Pour the syrup over them, allow them to cool, and then refrigerate for immediate use.
  5. For Long-Term Storage
    • Place the strawberries and syrup into sterilized jars and seal tightly.
    • Line the bottom of a pot with a clean cloth, place the jars upside down, and cover them with water.
    • Boil for 15-20 minutes.
    • Remove the jars, allow them to cool slightly, tighten the lids securely, and store in the refrigerator or a cool place.
