- 4 ripe tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon tomato paste
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- Salt
- Pepper
- Sweet paprika
- 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
- 100g water
Instructions:
For the pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat.
- Add the pasta and cook for 15-20 minutes, depending on how you prefer it cooked.
- Drain the pasta and return it to the pot.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet and drizzle it over the pasta, tossing lightly to coat.
For the tuna sauce:
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the onion and garlic for about 2 minutes.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and tomato paste, stirring and cooking together for another 2 minutes.
- Season with salt, pepper, and sweet paprika. Add the water and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Break the tuna into chunks and stir it into the sauce. If the sauce seems too thick, add a little more water and simmer until the sauce thickens and the flavors meld together.
