Ingredients
- 1 chicken, cut into portions
- 2-3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 8-10 mushrooms, sliced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 300g brown rice
- 200g water for the chicken
- 200g water for the rice
- Salt
- Pepper
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Wash the chicken and place it in a colander to drain.
- In a pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chicken and sauté on all sides until golden brown.
- Add the garlic and sauté together for another 2 minutes, then add the lemon juice.
- Pour in the water, add salt and pepper, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 45-50 minutes.
- If more water is needed during cooking, add a little as necessary.
- When the chicken is ready, remove it and place it in a bowl.
- In the remaining sauce in the pot, add water, rice, and mushrooms, and continue to cook for about 20 minutes until the rice is tender.
- Gradually add water to the rice as it cooks, and if more is needed, add as necessary.
