Ingredients
- 1 kg beef
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 carrot, sliced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 300g brown rice
- 200g water for the beef
- 200g water for the rice
- Salt
- Pepper
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Wash the beef thoroughly and let it drain.
- In a pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the beef and sauté on all sides until browned.
- Add the garlic and carrot, sauté everything together for 2 minutes, then add the lemon juice.
- Next, add the water, salt, and pepper, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, until the beef is tender.
- If more water is needed while it cooks, add a little as necessary.
- When the beef is ready, remove it and place it in a bowl.
- In the remaining sauce in the pot, add the rice and water, and continue to simmer for about 20 minutes until the rice is cooked.
- Add the water gradually to the rice, and if more is needed, add as necessary.
- Serve warm.
