Ingredients
- 1 medium chicken
- 300g hilopites (Greek pasta)
- 4 ripe tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves
- Salt
- Pepper
- Sweet paprika
- Olive oil
Instructions
- In a pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chicken until browned. Remove the chicken and set it aside in a bowl.
- In the same oil, sauté the onion and garlic. Add the tomatoes and cook together for 2 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the pot, cover with water, and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Let it simmer on low heat for about 40 minutes.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it again. Add the hilopites to the sauce and stir. If needed, add a little more hot water for the pasta.
- When the hilopites are almost cooked, return the chicken to the pot, add a bit more pepper and paprika, and let everything simmer together for 5 more minutes.
Remove from heat and serve hot. Enjoy!
