A kiss — a daily reminder that love is here

Homemade Tangerine Liqueur

This homemade tangerine liqueur infuses fresh mandarin pieces, cloves, cinnamon, and vodka (or cognac) for 35–40 days. After straining and sweetening with sugar syrup, it results in a rich, citrusy spirit.

The outcome is a fragrant liqueur with warm spice and vibrant tangerine notes—ideal served chilled, after dinner, or in cocktails.

Ingredients
15 mandarins
1 liter of cognac or vodka
750 g of sugar
1 cinnamon stick
15 cloves

Method
Wash the mandarins well and cut them into pieces.
Put them in a jar and add the cloves, cinnamon, and vodka. We seal them well and leave them in a shady place for 35-40 days shaking it often.
When the 40 days have passed, strain it with a strainer or cheese cloth, squeeze the mandarins to get all the liquids.
Put the strained drink back in the jar and add the sugar and leave it for 1 week.
We shake it 2-3 times a day to allow all the sugar to dissolve.
Finally put it in bottles and our drink is ready.
