A kiss, the warmest act of care and affection
Homemade Red Orange Liqueur
This homemade red orange liqueur combines juicy red orange quarters, vodka, and spices in a 30-day infusion. After straining, add sugar syrup, let it rest, and bottle.
The result is a richly colored, citrusy spirit with a warm spiced note—excellent chilled, after meals, or in cocktails.
Ingredients
5 red oranges
700 g of vodka
500 g of water
500 g of sugar
10 cloves
1-2 cinnamon sticks
1 nutmeg
Method
Wash the oranges well and slice into quarters.
Put them in a glass jar and add the vodka and the spices.
Close it well and leave it for 30 days in a shady place.
Shake it every 2-3 days.
After 30 days, we strain it inside cheese cloth, and squeeze well to get all the juice.
Boil the sugar with the water for 4-5 minutes and let it cool down well
When it is cool, stir it into the strained mixture, put it in a glass jar and shake it to stir.
We let the sealed jar sit for 3-4 days, shaking often.
Finally put it in a glass bottle and it is ready.
