Ingredients
- 400 g flour
- 250 g water
- 1 sachet dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Mix well to incorporate all the ingredients.
- Gradually add the water while kneading until you form a soft dough that doesn’t stick to your hands.
- Shape the dough into a ball, lightly coat it with 1 teaspoon of olive oil, cover it with a towel, and let it rise for 30–35 minutes.
- Meanwhile, lightly grease a deep pan with olive oil.
- Once the dough has risen, knead it lightly and place it in the greased pan. Cover it with a lid and allow it to rise again.
- When the dough has risen, gently press it to spread it evenly across the pan.
- Turn the heat to low and cook the bread in the covered pan for 10–15 minutes on each side.
- To flip the bread, grease a round plate with olive oil to prevent sticking and flip it like an omelet.
- Once both sides are cooked, turn off the heat and let the bread rest for 10 minutes. It’s now ready to enjoy!
