Ingredients

  • 500 g whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 200 g olive oil
  • 120 g white wine
  • 200 g grated carrots
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, white wine, baking powder, salt, and paprika (if using). Mix well.
  2. Gradually add the flour while kneading the mixture until it forms a dough.
  3. Add the grated carrots and knead for an additional 5 minutes until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
  4. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  5. Shape the dough into round or long, thin breadsticks and place them on the tray.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 170–180°C (340–360°F) for about 20 minutes, depending on your oven, until golden and crisp.
