Ingredients

  • 100 g blackcurrants (cleaned)
  • 100 g rum or vodka
  • 50 g water
  • 70 g sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Blackcurrants:
Wash the blackcurrants thoroughly and remove their stems. Place the cleaned fruit into a glass jar.
  2. Infuse with Alcohol:
Add the rum or vodka to the jar, seal it tightly, and store it in a shaded place for 1 month.
  3. Make the Syrup:
After 1 month, prepare a light syrup by boiling the water and sugar together for 3–4 minutes. Let the syrup cool completely.
  4. Combine the Syrup and Liqueur:
Pour the cooled syrup into the jar with the blackcurrant mixture. Seal the jar again and let it rest in a shaded place for an additional 5 days.
  5. Filter and Bottle:
Strain the liqueur through a fine sieve to remove the fruit and any sediment. Transfer the filtered liqueur into sterilized glass bottles and seal tightly.
