Ingredients:

  • 500 g penne pasta
  • 1 cup (200 g) heavy cream
  • 150 g melting cheese
  • Additional melting cheese for topping
  • 150 g feta cheese, crumbled
  • 10 slices of bacon, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • A pinch of thyme
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Penne:
    Boil the penne in salted water for 7-8 minutes. Do not overcook as they will continue cooking in the oven. Drain the pasta, reserving 60 g of the cooking water.
  2. Prepare the Mixture:
    Place the drained penne in a baking dish. Add the reserved pasta water, cheeses, bacon, thyme, olive oil or butter, salt, pepper, garlic, and heavy cream. Mix everything well to combine all the ingredients evenly.
  3. Top with Cheese:
    Sprinkle the remaining melting cheese evenly over the pasta mixture.
  4. Bake:
    Preheat your oven to 170-180°C (340-355°F). Bake the dish for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
  5. Serve:
    Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your creamy, cheesy baked penne!
