Apple Pie Dessert

Apple pie dessert is warmly spiced, golden, and nostalgic. This apple pie dessert blends tender apples, buttery crust, and cozy cinnamon aroma. Finally, apple pie dessert is perfect for gatherings, afternoon tea, or sweet comfort.

Ingredients

  • 300 g self-raising flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 230 g butter, melted
  • 250 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 apples, sliced
  • 50 g ouzo
  • 100 g milk
  • Grated nutmeg
  • Juice of half a lemon

Instructions

  1. Line a baking pan with parchment paper, pressing it evenly into the pan.
  2. Peel and slice the apples thinly. Place them in a bowl, sprinkle with the lemon juice to prevent browning, and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, ouzo, and sugar until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Add the baking powder, a pinch of grated nutmeg, and the eggs one at a time, whisking after each addition.
  5. Gradually mix in the flour until fully incorporated, then fold in the apple slices.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface with a spatula.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (355°F) for about 50–55 minutes, or until the cake rises, turns golden, and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven, let it cool for 10 minutes, then slice and serve.
