Ingredients
- 300 g aloe
- 300 g tangerine or orange juice
- 250 g sugar
- A few drops of lemon juice
Instructions
Wash the aloe leaf thoroughly. Remove the green outer skin and cut the gel into small pieces. Blend the gel in a blender until smooth.
In a saucepan, combine the blended aloe gel with the orange (or tangerine) juice and boil for about 5 minutes to soften the aloe.
Place a fine sieve over another saucepan and strain the boiled mixture through it. Press any solids in the sieve with a spoon to extract all the pulp from the aloe.
Add the sugar and a few drops of lemon juice to the strained liquid. Boil for 15–20 minutes, or until the syrup thickens slightly. It should remain fluid, not too thick, so it can be easily drizzled over ice cream or any dessert you love with syrup.
This Aloe Syrup is a delicate and refreshing twist on traditional sweeteners. Its light, floral notes and subtle fruitiness bring a gentle lift to your treats. Drizzle it over ice cream, pancakes, or pastries for a unique flavor experience that’s sure to impress. Enjoy discovering new ways to savor its soft, soothing sweetness!
