Ingredients

  • 500 g country sausage
  • 2 green bell peppers
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2 horn-shaped peppers
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 ripe tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 50 g water
  • Oregano
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Sweet paprika
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Slice the sausages, onion, and peppers and place them in separate bowls.
  2. Heat a large pan over medium heat and add 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Sauté the sausages in batches to ensure the pan stays hot and the sausages brown evenly. Remove each batch with a slotted spoon and set aside in a bowl.
  3. In the same pan, add another 3 tablespoons of olive oil and sauté the peppers until they are browned.
  4. Once the peppers have some color, add the onion and garlic, and sauté for another 2 minutes.
  5. Return the sausages to the pan, add the balsamic vinegar, and stir to combine.
  6. Finally, add the tomatoes, water, oregano, salt, paprika, and pepper.
  7. Simmer everything for about 8-10 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Serve hot and enjoy!
