Ingredients
- 200 g rice
- 500 g milk
- 400 g water
- 1 cup sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 3 tablespoons cornflour
- Cinnamon
Instructions
- Wash the rice with a handful of water and place it in a pot with the 400 g water. Bring it to a boil. Add more water as needed to ensure the rice cooks thoroughly but remains slightly thick rather than watery.
- In the meantime, mix a small amount of milk with the cornflour in a cup and stir well to dissolve.
- Once the rice is cooked, add the sugar and salt, stirring until fully dissolved.
- Pour in the cornflour-milk mixture and the remaining milk. Stir continuously for about 10 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly; it should not be overly thick, just creamy.
- Divide the pudding into bowls and sprinkle cinnamon on top while still warm.
- Allow to cool and refrigerate before serving.
