- 400g red lentils

Instructions

- Add enough water to cover the lentils plus a little extra.
- Add Ingredients:
- Add the chopped onion, garlic cloves, salt, and tomatoes to the pot.

- Bring to a boil, then reduce to medium heat and simmer for 40–45 minutes, or until the lentils are tender.
- If needed, add more water gradually, always using hot water to maintain the boil.

- Once the lentils are cooked, remove the pot from the heat.
- Stir in olive oil and oregano at the end to preserve their aroma and flavor.
