Dough for Arabic Pita
Ingredients
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 300 g water
- 4 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, pepper, sesame seeds, and olive oil.
- Gradually add the water while kneading until you achieve a soft, non-sticky dough. Add more flour if necessary.
- Cover the bowl and let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Divide the dough into 7 pieces, roll each one into thin rounds using a rolling pin, and place them on the tray.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and press gently to stick.
- Preheat the oven to 190–200°C (375–390°F) and bake for about 15 minutes, depending on your oven and desired crispness.

- 3 slices of bacon, chopped
- 100 g mushrooms
- 2 eggs
- Lettuce leaves
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and sauté the mushrooms for 3–4 minutes until they release their moisture.
- Add the bacon and sauté together for another 2–3 minutes.
- In a bowl, beat the eggs with salt and pepper. Pour the mixture into the pan with the mushrooms and bacon.
- Cook the omelette until set on one side, then flip to cook the other side.
- Place the Arabic pita on a plate and spread the mayonnaise evenly.
- Top the pita with the omelette and lettuce leaves.
