  • 15-20 figs for one small pie
  • 4-5 walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • A bit of sesame seeds
  • 10 g ouzo
  • 2 fig leaves, well-washed
  • String

Instructions

  1. Slice the figs in half and leave them in the sun for 2-3 days to dry slightly without hardening.
  2. Cut the dried figs into small pieces using scissors and place them in a bowl.
  3. Add the walnuts, sesame seeds, and ouzo to the bowl, and knead everything together until the ingredients are well combined.
  4. Take some of the mixture in your hands and shape it into a tight, slightly flattened ball.
  5. Wrap the fig ball with fig leaves and secure it with string.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes at 180-200°C, depending on your oven’s intensity.
