Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 500 g peas
  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 carrot
  • 4 ripe tomatoes
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Oregano
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Sweet paprika
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    In a pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the chicken until browned, then remove it and place it in a bowl.
  2. Cook the Vegetables:
    In the same pot, sauté the finely chopped onions and grated carrot. Add the garlic and sauté for one more minute, then add the chopped tomatoes.
  3. Combine Ingredients:
    Return the chicken to the pot, add the peas, then season with salt, pepper, oregano, and the cinnamon stick. Stir to combine.
  4. Simmer:
    Add just enough water to cover the ingredients. Simmer over medium heat for about 45 minutes until everything is tender. Add more water if necessary during cooking.
