Ingredients
- 180 g whole-grain rolled oats
- 100 g coarsely chopped almonds
- 50 g dried papaya, finely chopped
- 50 g dried apricots, finely chopped
- 100 g mixed nuts (sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, raisins, pistachios, pine nuts, walnuts, goji berries)
- 100 g peanut butter
- 80 g honey
- 80 g dark chocolate, finely chopped
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan:
Line a square baking pan with parchment paper. - Toast the Oats:
Place the oats in a pan and toast them over medium heat for about 6–7 minutes, stirring constantly, until they turn slightly golden and release a nutty aroma. Avoid burning them. Transfer the toasted oats to a large bowl. - Combine the Ingredients:
Add the almonds, dried papaya, dried apricots, mixed nuts, and chopped chocolate to the bowl with the oats. Mix everything well and set aside. - Heat the Peanut Butter and Honey:
In a small saucepan, gently warm the peanut butter and honey, stirring to combine. Do not let the mixture boil. - Mix Everything Together:
Pour the warm peanut butter and honey mixture over the oats and other ingredients. Stir thoroughly until all the ingredients are evenly coated. The chocolate may melt slightly, but this is fine. - Transfer to the Pan:
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan. Spread it out evenly and press it down firmly with your hands to ensure the ingredients stick together. - Compress the Mixture:
Place a piece of parchment paper over the top of the mixture and press down firmly with a glass or the bottom of a cup to compact it further. - Refrigerate:
Place the pan in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours until the mixture sets and becomes firm. - Slice into Bars:
Remove the pan from the refrigerator, carefully lift out the mixture using the parchment paper, and cut it into bars of your desired size.
