- 15–20 zucchini flowers
- 15–20 broccoli florets
- 300 g all-purpose flour
- 150–200 g water
- 1 egg
- Salt
- Pepper
- Sweet paprika
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the Zucchini Flowers
Remove the stems, green outer leaves, and the yellow inner part from the zucchini flowers. Wash them gently and let them drain. - Prepare the Broccoli
Cut the broccoli into small florets, wash them, and boil in salted water for about 5 minutes until slightly tender. Drain well. - Make the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour with water, adding the water gradually until a thick batter forms. Adjust the water as needed depending on the flour’s consistency.
Add the salt, pepper, sweet paprika, and the lightly beaten egg. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined. - Frying
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, dip the zucchini flowers and broccoli florets into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated.
Place them carefully into the hot oil and fry on both sides until golden brown. - Serve
Remove the fried flowers and broccoli with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Serve hot and crispy.
