Ingredients for 2 Servings

  • 500 g calamari
  • 4 potatoes
  • Lettuce leaves
  • 10 cherry tomatoes
  • Salt
  • 200 g flour (for the calamari)
  • Olive oil

Instructions

For the Calamari:
  1. Clean the calamari and cut it into rings.
  2. Wash the rings, place them in a colander, season with salt, and let them drain.
  3. Pour the olive oil into a frying pan and heat it over high heat until hot.
  4. In a bowl, mix the flour with a little salt.
  5. Add the calamari rings to the flour mixture and toss well to coat them evenly.
  6. Once the oil is hot, fry the calamari rings in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden.
  7. Remove the rings with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

For the Fries:
  1. Peel and wash the potatoes thoroughly.
  2. Cut them into rectangular strips suitable for frying.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over high heat.
  4. Add the potatoes and fry them until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Serving:

  1. Arrange the fries on a plate and season with salt.
  2. Add the calamari rings alongside the fries.
  3. Garnish with cherry tomatoes and lettuce leaves.
